FTC Team #29081
Melbourne RoboCats FTC team 29081 is the younger sibling team of our veteran FRC team, extending our commitment to hands-on STEM learning into a smaller-scale, fast-paced robotics program. In FTC students design, build and program robots within the size of an 18″ cube to play a brand new game each year, balancing engineering creativity with strategic gameplay.
Our mixed gender FTC team brings together students from across Melbourne in Years 7-12 welcoming all skill levels and interests and fostering collaboration across a broader group of students. Students engage in learning mechanical and electrical design priciples of robot design, CAD modelling, coding, driving, and outreach. Guided by experienced mentors and FRC alumni, students learn practical engineering, teamwork, and problen solving skills in a collaborative, inclusive envoronment.
Since launching in 2025, our Melbourne RoboCats FTC Rookie team has begun it’s journey with energy and determination – embracing the same spirit of “Gracious Professionalism” that drives our FRC team and defines FIRST.
